Hackathon teams consist of 2 to 3 participants. You can form a team with friends or find teammates during the registration process.

The initial hackathon application is free. There is no fee to submit your application and idea.

A fee of ₹500 per team applies after shortlisting, not during the initial application. Shortlisted teams are notified and can then complete the payment to confirm their participation.

Applications are reviewed by the 80 Startups team. Shortlisting is based on the quality of the idea, team composition, and fit with the hackathon theme. Shortlisted teams are notified and can proceed to the payment step to secure their spot.

The 80 Startups Accelerator is a 90-day structured program for startup founders. It covers ideation, validation, building, traction, and fundraising through weekly sprints, mentor sessions, workshops, and demo day preparation.

The Accelerator runs for 90 days (approximately 13 weeks), divided into phases: Ideate & Validate (Weeks 1–2), Build & Ship (Weeks 3–6), Grow & Traction (Weeks 7–10), and Demo Day (Week 11+).

The currently published public terms for the Accelerator are ₹35,000 and 5% equity. Specific terms for each cohort are shared with applicants during the selection process.

Workshops cover practical skills for founders such as AI foundations, generative AI, machine learning, digital marketing, Python for data science, and more. See the Workshops page for the current schedule.

On the Workshops page, click a workshop to view details and register. Workshop price is displayed as ₹5,000. Currently, no payment is collected during registration; applications are reviewed and the team contacts registrants for next steps.

All applications and registrations are reviewed by the 80 Startups team. For hackathons, you'll be notified if your team is shortlisted. For the accelerator and workshops, the team will contact you with next steps, which may include interviews, additional information requests, or confirmation of participation.
